Robby Scates

Robby Scates was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended University High School and graduated in 2002.  Robby moved to Hammond Louisiana to attend Southeastern Louisiana University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree. He arrived there on a football scholarship when football was brought back to Southeastern.

Upon graduating college, he began a career in the insurance industry in 2006 and has 12 years of experience in property and casualty lines as well as life and health.  Robby was with Farm Bureau Insurance for six years and prior to that, he was a Regional Manager with PFS Insurance Services.  

He and his family are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula where he married his wife, Caitlin Fulmer, in 2011.  Caitlin is a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula and is the daughter of Mike and Sandra Fulmer, owners of Berryland Motors and Berryland Campers.  Robby and Caitlin have three children: Mayson, Weston and Roman.

Amanda L. Sharp

Amanda L. Sharp CIC, CRM

Amanda was raised in Loranger, LA and graduated from Loranger High School in 2003. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2008.

She began her career in Insurance with Emery & James in 2005 where she obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor & Certified Risk Manager Designations through the National Alliance. After 16 years with Emery & James, she was hired by Berryland Insurance Group in 2021 as the Director of Operations & Customer Service.
